Southern Right Whales on the Nullarbor.

Each winter in Australia, the Southern Right Whales gather at the Head of Bight on the edge of the Nullarbor.  The Whales swim up from the Antarctic to give birth, and to breed, before returning to the Antarctic waters.

At the moment (early August) there are approximately 65 whales, with numbers increasing each day.  Numbers are expected to peak during August, with over 100 whales expected.

Scenic flights depart on demand from the Nullarbor Roadhouse with a minimum of two passengers.  Flights are conducted in a high wing aircraft, with every passenger in a window seat.

The prices are:

30 minute scenic flight - $140 per person (inc GST).

40 minute scenic flight - $185 per person (inc GST).

45 minute scenic flight - $200 per person (inc GST).
