Whales at Head of Bight Marine Park

The first Southern Right Whales have been seen at the Head of Bight Marine Park for the 2010 season. The very exciting news is that the first whale calf has been born for the year..

To see the most whales, and to enjoy the full beauty of the area, we recommend a scenic flight from the Nullarbor Roadhouse. Flights depart on demand, with a minimum of two people (Maximum of three). The cost for a 30 minute scenic flight is $120pp (inc GST, and landing fees).

The scenic flights fly over the Head of Bight Marine Park, and along the Bunda Cliffs. We expect whales to be in the area until early October.

Experience Lake Eyre

Water has now arrived in Lake Eyre from the rivers and waterways to the North. Recently the floodwaters from the East along the Coopers Creek have closed the Birdsville Track, and only just starting to arrive into Lake Eyre.

Chinta Tours is offering a range of itineraries to the discerning traveller, using light aircraft to link a variety of Outback South Australian destinations with Lake Eyre.
