Includes sole use air charter flights, one day 4WD touring in the Gawler Ranges, one nights accommodation in a luxury safari tent with private en-suite, the opportunity to swim with wild dolphins and sea lions (in season – 1 September to 30 May), one nights accommodation in one of Kangaroo Island’s finest B&Bs, one day private 4WD tour of Kangaroo Island, all meals (limited alcohol with evening meals), National Park entry fees, airport transfers.

Day 1: Gawler Ranges (L, D)

The Gawler Ranges are the remnants of ancient volcanoes, and offer a range of scenery – from white salt lakes to red rocks.

Highlights include:
» Scenic flight over South Australia’s farmlands.
» A 4WD tour of the Gawler Ranges with experienced local guides.
» Emus, kangaroos and colourful native birds in their natural habitat.
» Views of volcanic rhyolite – known as organ pipes – at one of the world’s largest sites.

Accommodation: One night in a luxury safari tent, with queen size bed, and private en-suite.

Day 2: Baird Bay (B, L, D)

Baird Bay home to an award-winning experience – the chance to swim with wild dolphins and sea lions.

Highlights include:
» The chance to swim with wild dolphins and sea lions (in season).
» Scenic views of the Eyre Peninsula and Kangaroo Island.

Accommodation: One night in a hosted B&B on Kangaroo Island.  Accommodation features local produce, views of nearby ocean and farmland, and is limited to three couples at any one time.

Day 3: Kangaroo Island (B, L)

Kangaroo Island is known as Australia’s Galapagos – home to an amazing range of native wildlife in its natural habitat.  Spend the day on a 4WD tour of the Island, with a knowledgable, local guide.  4WD tour can be shared or exclusive use - please advise at the time of booking.

Highlights include:
» Seal Bay, and the chance to walk on the beach amongst a seal colony.
» Native Australian wildlife, including koalas and kangaroos.
» Admiral’s Arch, and a colony of New Zealand fur seals.
» Scenic flight from Kangaroo Island to Adelaide.

OPTIONS This tour can be extended to include one day 4WD touring in the Gawler Ranges, one day touring on the Eyre Peninsula including the chance to swim with wild dolphins and sea lions, and two full days shared or sole use 4WD touring on Kangaroo Island, with two nights in a B&B on the Island. 

Accommodation on Kangaroo Island can be upgraded to the award-winning eco-lodge, Southern Ocean Lodge.  (Additional costs apply).  A minimum stay applies of two nights at the Southern Ocean Lodge.

From 1 June to 31 August, a 4WD tour to the vast expanse of Lake Gairdner will be offered instead of the Baird Bay Ocean Eco-Experience of swimming with dolphins and sea-lions.
